WELCOME to the ROTARY CLUB of CABOOLTURE
The 2022 Moreton Bay Red Ride is nearly here!
A scenic ride against Domestic Violence
Last year $5500 was raised in the fight against domestic and family violence and show that it is not welcome.
Let’s see if we can achieve an even greater result this year.
Due to the bad weather the original ride day has been postponed.
Saturday 28th May is now the big day.
For all your information and registration, head to the Red Ride website.
2021 – 2022 Rotary International President Shekhar Mehta urged members to become more involved in service projects, saying that caring for and serving others is the best way to live because it changes not only other people’s lives, but also our own.
“Rotary kindled the spark within me to look beyond myself and embrace humanity,” he said. “Service became a way of life for me and I, like many others, adopted the guiding philosophy that ‘Service is the rent I pay for the space I occupy on this earth, and I want to be a good tenant of this earth.’”
With all that is happening in our world at the moment with the Corona Virus and associated self isolation etc. we still need to stay connected with our members or those in need.
If you know of someone less fortunate or alone or elderly, please take the time to contact them and ask “Are you ok?” It can be as easy as a phone call.
The Rotary Club of Caboolture aims to support the local, national and international community that we all live in – with the aim of making the world a little bit better than it was before.
This can be done via many projects that are underpinned by the 6 main causes that Rotary supports.
They are: Promoting peace, Fighting disease, Providing clean water, sanitation and hygiene, Saving mothers and children, Supporting education and finally Growing local economies.
“The Rotary logo represents the cogs that keep the community going and it does this through initiatives that bridge gaps where government can’t reach.
Rotary care about the people who live in its community.”
